New Technology of Meltblown Nonwoven Fabric Spinning

The non-woven fabric produced by the melt-blown method, also known as melt-blown cloth and melt-blown non-woven fabric, is a kind of ultra-fine electrostatic fiber cloth with a high melt index polypropylene as the main raw material and a fiber diameter of about 2 microns. Since its emergence, it has developed rapidly, and the market of meltblown non-woven fabrics has become larger and larger. The characteristics of its ultra-fine fibers have been widely used in many industrial and civil fields. There is a basic introduction of meltblown nonwoven fabric from Synwin non woven fabric supplier.

Process flow of meltblown nonwovens

Feeding of polymers - extrusion after melting - filtration of raw materials - metering of raw materials - spinning - web forming - coiling - post-processing - finished products

After the raw materials are metered and mixed, they enter the extruder and heat into a melt. After removing impurities through a filter, they enter the metering pump for metering and pressurization to form a melt with stable pressure, flow and uniform distribution. It is evenly distributed to the melt blown head, and then sprayed by the high-temperature traction airflow distributed on both sides of the spinneret against the melt sprayed from the melt blown head. 1~5um filaments, and at the same time, these slender filaments are broken by the drafting airflow into short fibers of 40~70mm. Then, under the guidance of the drafting airflow, these short fibers fall on the web forming machine and are bonded to each other on the web forming machine by their own waste heat to form a continuous fiber web. After the continuous fiber web is formed on the web forming machine, it is wound into a roll by a winder and slit by a slitter, and finally a meltblown non-woven product is formed.

The drafting airflow holds these drawn short fibers before the web forming machine. Although they have been cooled by the surrounding ambient air, they can still rely on the heat of the drafting airflow and their own waste heat to stick to each other on the web forming device. The knots form a continuous web of fibers.

In order to prevent the drafting airflow from blowing away the fiber web, a suction system is set under the mesh, which can draw away the drafting airflow and the airflow within a certain range of the surrounding environment, so that the fiber web is attached to the mesh fabric for shaping and transmission. The fiber web from the web forming machine can be wound and cut by a winding machine to become a meltblown cloth product.

Meltblown non-woven fabric equipment

The melt-blown cloth is produced by the melt-blown process. The equipment mainly includes a feeder, a screw extruder, a continuous hydraulic quick-screen filter, a melt metering pump, an air system (hot air blower and heater), and a melt-blown mold. Head, web forming machine, suction fan, electret device, winding device, slitting machine and electric control system, etc.

In melt-blown equipment, the melt-blown die head is the most critical component of melt-blown cloth equipment and one of the core components for polymer molding. Design and precision directly affect the length, uniformity, toughness, fineness and many other aspects of the wire drawing. , thus having a decisive influence on the final coil quality.

The technical feature of the die head is the coat hanger type flow channel, and the melt distribution is uniform. The polishing degree of the mold cavity is 0.01~0.03μm, and the special hot air heating device is adopted, which has good heating efficiency and heat exchange efficiency, and low energy consumption. Unique air trough structure design, stable air pressure, symmetrical airflow on both sides, and uniform airflow in the width direction. The air gap can be adjusted in real time, which is convenient to adjust. The 1600mm die head has 52 heating points, 26 temperature control points, intelligent temperature control, one-button start and one-button heat preservation.

Application fields of meltblown non-woven fabrics

Medical non-woven fabrics

Melt-blown non-woven fabrics are used to replace traditional textile products and spunbond non-woven fabrics are used in the production of masks. They are characterized by high strength, good hand feel, effectively blocking the penetration of bacteria, impermeable but breathable; can prevent Cross infection, reduce the labor of nursing staff, easy to store and replace; easy to wear and use, and low price.

Insulation Materials

Meltblown non-woven fabric has very good wind resistance due to its extremely small fiber diameter, high porosity, soft hand feel. It has good ventilation performance and is very light in weight, making it the best material for thermal insulation clothing.

filter material

The fiber diameter of the melt-blown cloth can reach 1~2μm, and the arrangement is randomly distributed, with a certain clutter. This structure enables it to have a larger specific surface area and a smaller pore size, which can produce very high-quality filtration. It is mainly used in air filtration, water filtration, oil filtration, oil-water separation and many other fields.

oil absorbing material

Since the main raw material of meltblown cloth does not absorb water, but has good lipophilicity, and the meltblown cloth has the characteristics of high porosity and large specific surface area, the meltblown cloth has good oil absorption performance.
